WE COME IN PEACE: LAIBACH release the soundtrack to IRON SKY, one of 2012’s most anticipated film releases, on Mute on 9 April 2012 and to coincide, announce a series of European dates that includes the prestigious Tate Modern Turbine Hall on 14 April 2012, plus the release of An Introduction To… Laibach / Reproduction Prohibited, out on Mute in Spring 2012.
The live dates will include music written by Laibach from IRON SKY (directed by Timo Vuorensola), a dark science fiction comedy about Nazis invading earth in 2018, after escaping to the Dark Side of the Moon in 1945, due out in UK cinemas mid April.

The film, whose premiere was one of the hottest tickets at the Berlin International Film Festival, was inspired in part by Laibach, specifically 2006’s VOLK, a collection of interpretations of national anthems that includes America, which features in the film’s soundtrack.
The European tour will also feature music from the forthcoming albums, Laibach Revisited (WTC release) and Reproduction Prohibited / An Introduction To… Laibach / out on Mute in Spring 2012. The album, neither a “best of” nor a “greatest hits”, is instead a compilation of some of Laibach’s best known cover versions, with three rare tracks, Bruderschaft, Laibach’s kraftwerian cover of their own track Brat moj, Warme Lederhaut, a cover of Mute’s first release, The Normal’s Warm Leatherette, firstly performed at the now legendary Short Circuit presents Mute festival in May 2011 and Ballad Of A Thin Man, originally recorded by Bob Dylan.
